I think I did well because I did a lot of ground work. I put out a lot of flyers and I advertised in newspapers in many parts of the U.S. I said I spent a lot of money and this is where I was spending my money was on newspaper ads.

I was taught that you to be successful at placing ads, you need to advertise in newspapers that had at least 300,000 in circulation. It didn't have to be in one paper. You could use a number of newspapers for 300,000 cumulative. The cost could vary anywhere from 300, 500, or more.

My team also used what was known as "email campaigns" where we paid for 6 months of access to a job website. We were allowed to collect up to 10,000 emails per month and upload the emails to our autoresponder. Of course, with the spam accusations caused Herbalife to shut this marketing method down. But, when we had it going, it brought in a lot of people. The cost for this was $2000 every 6 months.

Thus, I made money, but I also spent a lot of money.
