Actually, I do operate out of my home, but I do pretty much what Starbucks and other coffee shops do. I can make the coffee, but the coffee is already packaged. As well as the other products we offer. Most of my customers either go to my website and purchase the products or they call me and I mail them the products or meet them to give them the products.

It is a real business to me. Many people have become very wealthy by doing home businesses. In fact, there have been more millionaires that have come from home businesses than in any other business. I suspect this is because anybody can start a home business and if they are willing to do the work and are open to learning, they can become very successful.

Neither Craigslist nor Backpage ever worked for me.
I use the Classified Ads at www.WhatBusinesstodo.com. and I get frequent hits. Plus they don't expire until I take them down.

Craigslist was just too complicating for me

Complicated meaning, what category to put it in, what do do to keep it UP and not buried in 2-3 hours ( I live in New York). the tricks you have to use to post it more than once in more than one city . etc. To me a newbie, it was just too complicating.

At www.whatbusinesstodo.com its not a gathering point for businesses. Its not a social networking site. Its a place to place your material so its picked up by te search engines. Its a place where you can easily post your information so its search engine friendly. You are taught how to create a URL, a description box, where to place keywords, Tags, how to effectively use video and audio . How to submit to the bookmark sites, etc. These are done in FREE webinars that anyone can attend.
But the purpose is not for businesses to gather together.

Craigslist was good three years ago when I made boatload of money but now its a true sellers spam market. And the hoops you got to go through to get ads to stick are not worth it.

There are so many more better ways to do it such as JV's and voice blasting which is now my method of choice to generate high quality cheap leads.

ibuzzmentor, how do you know who to call? It seems a lot of money can be spent using voice blasting.

What is JV? I have really never heard of either one of the marketing techniques. I use the usual forum posting, blogging, social networking sites. They work and they don't cost money.

I had the best response in the business opportunity section but posts are flagged almost half the time. what are the posting techniques that will minimize this I wonder because it almost seems like luck of the draw sometimes.
