Why use the shorten url offers
Curious,
I have never used any of these short URL options, and wonder why anyone else would other than to fit it into a limited line like Twitter uses. Sure, if you are promoting affiliate programs these URL's can get long, as some do with MLM, but if you are smart, you won't waste your effort promoting these short URL's when you could be building your traffic rank with a personal dot com URL.
When you go with these free services, you are gaining nothing in the long run. Spend the $7.50 for your own dot com domain for a year and promote it, not a shortened URL which is a waste, especially if you get it canceled which happens quite often with claims of spamming some will make against you if you are not careful.
Building on your own domain url will pay off big time, and with the ease in forwarding it to your affiliate or MLM links and the low cost, it just never made sense to me to use these short url offers. Just my opinion based on my experience working online, own your url, don't use short url programs unless you are only a short term marketer.
