This is a proof that affiliate marketing works.
I started my first site offering affiliate products about 1 month ago. I have been running websites for at least 4 years but was always sceptical of sites trying to sell affiliate products because I thought that very few people would actually buy anything from an affiliate site.
So about a month ago, I decided to take the plunge and start one site just for the heck of it and because I read how much some people were claiming to make with affiliate marketing.
After a month, my site has already made about 30 sales and earned about $58 in affiliate commissions.
That is low but considering that I have only been in business for about a month, I am quite pleased with this start.
For anyone thinking about whether to start a site selling affiliate products, I would say go ahead. It's easier than I thought.

If you don't mind my asking,what affiliate products are you using? You said you started the site about a month ago so this is encouraging to me as I thought a site would have to be up for quite some time to make any money.Thanks for sharing this information with us.

I signed up with Commission Junction, Linkshare, Performics and Amazon.
I am listing on my website products from Amazon, Circuit City, Best Buy, Buy.com, Dell, and more. Basically all the popular online merchants.
My website is a price comparison website.

Congratulation. Just a month but you could make 30 sale. Very good. How you do that. Is is just go thru you website or you promote in forum.? I nenn to learn from you how you do that.

30 sales with my company would make a lot more money than that. Can you explain how you produced that many sales. Do tell!

Basically, people come to the website to find the cheapest products and click on the links there to buy stuff.

I have to say that affiliate sales are the one thing I have never been able to get a grasp of. I think I have tried everything. However, this month I decided to write articles about a product on my blog and all of a sudden, I was getting affiliate sales. Try it. Get a product, review it in your blog and let google do it's work.

Writing articles is an excellent way of selling products!

I'm curious to know what kind of marketing techniques you used. Did you use paid services like Google Adwords, or go the free marketing route?
