It won't be possible to get through alone and more over having lack of knowledge over the coding sections, its better to get along with a team of member, who does have some real variety of talents as well as quality in them and surely it would help for developing a proper site.

in doing freelance as individual you will get more money so if you think you can do all the works in a given time and give a better result then do it alone. Doing it as a team is good as you will have someone who can help you but sometimes you just can't do everything that you want because your having a problem with your partner in terms of decision making...

Definitely as a team.

I am a very good PHP/MySQL/CSS/XML programmer, but my own designs and layouts stink.

Give me a good page in Photoshop, I will make it fully validating, cross browser compliant, and fast to load and add other pages.

But don't ask me to create the page in Photoshop.
