I am trying to do this too but find that I have to charge 1 cent a word or just slightly more in order to compete with others. I am hoping that once I have been doing it for a while and have some good samples of my work to show people then I will be able to charge a bit more money.

If you write quality articles, people will be willing to pay more than one cent per article.

Me personally i require articles that are between 300-600 words. I dont care to pay per word. I pay per article, what ever it ends up being to have a final article that is well written on the subject i need ( as long as its at least 300 words ). I get my articles for $3. Many people offer articles for $3 to about $5 each ( word counts vary ). If this isnt enough for you then im afraid that while you can make money selling your articles, finding people willing to pay more is going to be a chore and result in less articles sold and thus not being able to count on the articles for repeat income stability.

If you are just in it to make money, you can easily just rewrite plr articles so they are unique, package them together and sell them. 10 articles for $50 is pretty easy to do and wouldnt take much of your time. You can even goto www dot livelifeforsuccess dot com/wordflood.html to watch a video on a program that can help do this and make it alot easier. Then just click the link shown to download the program and try it out and use it for free for 14 days.

You can create articles and sell them as packs. Check into PLR articles. This is a good source of income for those that want to make money writing articles.

This isn't freelance writing. This is content writing. I'm a copywriter and this kind of writing isn't considered copy writing.

You people need to be charging more! You get what you pay for and it's not always quality content.

You could try writing for ezine articles. They have publishers that pay you money. Also you could see how powerful your articles make it on google and see if its for you. This is where i first started and got a hand of how the writing industry works.

Hi. I'm new here, but I thought I'd share the site that I find the majority of my freelance writing jobs (mostly articles) through oDesk.com. It's also a great way to get some stuff to build up your portfolio.

Best of luck to you!
