I've done freelance jobs at getafreelancer, mostly transcription and data entry jobs.

I freelance... not in writing - okay I do that. I freelance for a new company, since I have a graphic design degree and some marketing content writing I design, write, call and such. I get a flat fee of $200. per week rather I spend 10 hours or 20 hours per week on it. Or some weeks I will need to do more then others. Nice security here.

I try to pull at least 2 websites (w/ paypal ecommerce), 3 logos, and some collertral design each year. The websites pay better since I do an "x" amount of dollar for an "x" amount of pages. I charge my customer hosting fee which help me pay for my unlimited hosting plan. I charge and "x" amount of year for minor changes and to administrate it.

Since I am also a traditional artist of course I am a freelancer in this form too. I have yet to find a freelance option for my award winning figurine painting, but one day I hope to find someone who needs an very good painter

I also am a contracted worker for the local Post Office too... clean 1.5 hours per week for three days. I still am working for myself but HAVE to do 4 hours of work no matter what - But it pays $8.50 per hour and pays a bill.

There is money in freelancing you just have got to figure out your speciality and go for it.
