I don't like cold calling at all. It is difficult to talk to people when you don't have a relationship with them. Relationships with people are an important aspect of helping to establish a business. There are other more successful methods of marketing your business than cold calling.
I have a agency of a life insurance company. They offer their advisers free calling. I always prefer yellow pages for my cold calling. In this way I make new friends daily in this process
Well the times and days are of cold calling, you don't know which kind of voice you are going to face but you need to make the call because your boss said so.
One of the reasons I chose the business I did was cause their is no Cold Calling. I really don't have a problem talking to people I don't know its just I hate to feel I interrupted their dinner or just become a problem. If people want what I have they will let me know.
I just got off the phone with someone who has been marketing for 20+ years. He feels that the best way to connect with people is through use of the phone. He says that the phone is the number one tool for a person who owns a business.
I don't like cold calling, but I do believe that using the phone to follow-up with people is a requirement.
I agree. Even though e-mail is very popular now you still don't get that feel of interaction and connectivity with someone like you do on the phone. Cold Calling no but when they ask for your call via entering info in your landing page or leaving you an e-mail or message to call then have at it.
It is much easier to call people who have shown an interest in your business opportunity. It is hard to talk to people who have never seen what you have to offer because you then have to go through talking to people as if you are trying to sell them on something, which you probably are.
I was told that the best way to get people interested in your product or service is to bring them to a presentation. I was told this on two different occasions by two different marketers who have been in the business for 20 years or more.
Cold Calling is the least effective way to market your business. Especially with all of the advertising resources that the internet provides. What you want are for people that are interested in what you have to offer to contact you. You don't want to be calling someone directly to try to sell something to them.
