I love all the reasons, and the "work in your jammies" is great, it's so true it's one of the first things i do when i get home - switch into a more comfortable outfit. So what kind of work from home businesses are you involved in? Do you move around from job to job, or have you managed to find a stable source of income through an online work from home position?

The top five reasons to work at home are:

1) Gas Prices - It's no secret to anyone with a car that the gas prices these days are ridiculously high. When you have to commute an hour to work each way, you can go broke just paying for gas. If you work at home you don't have to worry about paying for gas just to get to work.

2) Pay Yourself - You aren't limited by an hourly wage or yearly salary. The amount of money you make rests almost entirely within yourself and you can virtually write your own checks. With all the ways there are to make money online, you can do many things to make a living working at home and there are few limitations on the size of the income you can earn.

3) Freedom - When you work at home you have the freedom of working a schedule that you set. Don't like to get up early? Fine just start working later in the day. Want to go to the beach today? Just pack your lap top and get some work done while soaking in the sun.

4) Family - One of the best benefits of working at home is that you get to spend much more time with your family. You aren't away all day or night working at the office. You can finally have the quality time you have always wanted with your family.

5) Necessity - There are plenty of reasons why it is simply necessary to work at home. Maybe you have a disability that prevents you from going to a regular job. You might have to be at home to take care of the kids. It's possible there aren't any good jobs in your area. Or any of about a thousand other reasons why it is necessary for you to work at home.

You can set your own hours and work as much as you want. If you want to make more money you just work more hours

I don't answer to anyone but me.
work when I want.
I don't have to listen to tales of woe and complaining from co-workers.
I don't have to deal directly with the public (I was in retail sales for over 20 years)
I get to watch all the TV I want, when I want.

Oh yeah, I make pretty good money too.

I agree.

1. You can work your own hours
2. You don't have to go clothes shopping all the time
3. Minimal office politics to worry about
4. Save on gas costs
5. Can stay in if the weather is horrible, i.e., too hot, too cold, stormy, etc...
6. Can work and clean at the same time
7. Be comfortable in your own space
8. Can have friends over and work at the same time
9. Not worried about if you'll be next for the pink slip
10. Last but not least, you only answer to yourself!

I am seriously wanting to work from home and enjoy all what you have written.

The most important attribute of working from home for me will be the comfortable pace of work I can do without being harassed or pressured into doing work. That is what I want and constantly throw it out to the universe.

Appreciate all your "My Top 5" and will be looking forward to it.
