Default How Can I Make My Own Website?

Hi all!

Long story short!!!

I just wanted to tell you my story.

A time ago (which is 2-3 years from now) I was thinking – How to start an internet business?

I red a lot about people making living with it, working from home etc

BUT

Didn’t know where to start!!!

I was thinking – What, Where, How???

I was looking around the web, was desperate to find some useful information about it!!!

After some searches I discovered that it is NOT so difficult at all................
it is needed of course to put some WORK in it and few NEW skills are to be learned.

Anyway..............it is no such a things like – get rich quick – money will come like in cash machine –
you don’t have to do anything – work only for 2 hours a day etc

I realized that I MUST make my own website at first!!!

At the beginning I was thinking - WHAT? Website? HOW? I can't do it............
it's sounded to me so difficult, "techie" and I don't know anything about to build my own website!!!

How can I build my website???

I knew by then how to work with MS Word, MS Excel, send/receive emails, surf the net……………….that was it!!!

IN GENERAL

It is NOT so difficult..............actually it is easy and fun!!!

Best regards

Aigars

If you check with hosting sites, many offer simple site builders as an included feature....

There are also numerous companies that offer "what you see is what you get" programs...
Some are pricey........then of course you could learn to write code......

many ways to go...

You're exactly right... it is vital to own your own domain name. With affiliate MLM websites you have no control over the sites visuals or content.

I learned code... it takes practice and time, and still by no means am I a professional... but it's fun to work with and come up with new ways to make a site look good.

Now when I get involved in a free website that I sign up to because I liked the visuals... I can copy the code and stick it up on my own domain.

But... like Jim said... there are alot of programs out there specifically designed for you to pay monthly or yearly and get your own domain name, and have pre-made templates that you can edit your own way and sell what you want to sell on them.

Hope this helps!

Informational post especially for newbies trying to get started. It can be so hard getting a site up especially if you don't know what the basic steps are. If you take it one step at a time it can be really simple though

Hi. For a moment there i thought you were trying to find out how to build your own website. But it seems that you have figured it out and are now running your own online business
I too was quite surprised when I learnt how to build sites. Surprised at the ease of it, I thought you needed a degree or something

And also surprised as you said at how much fun it is getting the site up and then getting traffic. Wow what a day that was

I hope your business is thriving

All the best and maybe see you around

Aigars, I've been in for about three years now. And it's been a learning curve. I only do this part time but it's been great. Like you said a lot of fun

I see it as my hobby that generates an income for me

One can put up a Google Blog site in an afternoon. And if you can promote it well enough and make it something that many people value, it can support you. BIG if and a LOT of work. But it can be done. What I find as I try to help people start up sites is that most want instant money - they give up far too quickly. Heck I have even almost given up on sites myself even though I have the patience of Job on such things. I had a site that I put a lot of work into and after a year I was going to scrap it. But with some tweaking I was able to make $5 a day and am now building on that. $5 a day is not much, but if you have 10 such sites that adds up.
