Quickstar/Amway isn't a scam
Just to get things straight here (although, with the way the internet information acts as a flood of ignorance, well, this probably won't stop it), with Quixtar = Amway = Quixtar.
Quixstar is simply the Online version of Amway. Same company same concept, its just web based.
Quixtar IS NOT a scam and neither is Amway. Its really JUST LIKE any other type of self employed business, but instead of having an overhead and employees, you really just shop from the (in a sense), your warehouse of goods. But, where it becomes easier to do is by recruiting other's to join up WITH you.
Now theres a big difference between this and a "pyramid" scam. In a pyramid scam, the one's or THE ONE at the top makes all the money (Fuller Brush (sp??) used to be like this,) where as Quickstar/Amway is set up where even someone underneath a, say in their terms a DIRECT, can actually make more money than than a DIAMOND, which is the business ranking of people "at the top." That then wouldn't really be a "pyramid" then would it?
Now, before any of you start calling me a brainwashed or ignorant or whatever you may call me, I'm not promoting Quixtar/Amway, I'm just stating the overall concept behind it. My parents, as was I, was involved in Amway for sometime, but nothing major came from it in the money department. However, because of the group my parents where with, I think that it actually helped their marriage (a whole different story.) There are however, other Quixtar/Amway groups that don't really live up to the overall concept unfortunately. And they're typically the one's that spread the negative.
I not going to go along with the "you better stay away from Amway" bit, or "its a cult" or bladda bladda blah. But, it is completely legal, I mean its really up to you if your going to buy all the tapes or not, or go to all the meetings or this and that. But, really, anything worth it in life takes hard work, especially self-employment. So i guess if Quixtar/Amway is a scam, then i guess so is the American Dream. Which is a pretty sad way to think then, the whole "if its too hard for me, then it must be a scam."
