Exclamation Convincing people that an MLM is worth it

It's actually hard to convince people to sign up under you, is it?

Even close friends.

First thing out of their mouths is , "Eh...sounds like a scam"

After a time, I really don't want to go through a speech telling them the diff. between a scam and something that's legit.

They say, "You just make nickle and dime stuff, and it's MORE work and effort than what it's really worth!"

Ever have this hassle of trying to convince people its not scam.

As soon as they hear words like,

1. Downlines
2. Multi-level Marketing

They don't want to get involved.

Am I right?

You should not have to convince anyone, period. They either are serious about starting a business that will enable them to get out of the rat race or not. They are not educated on what network marketing is, in fact if they are working a 9-5 job that structure is set up like a network marketing business the difference is that they are not receiving the residual income for there efforts we are for just doing the work once.

Is this a friend or someone you know if he or she is I would not say another word to them about your business continue to do what you do build and build it big. Let your efforts be your voice. There are hundreds, thousands, millions of other prospects out there just move on next. Always remember some will, some won't NEXT!

You will not get a yes every time keep it moving my friend.

You are right. These old school methods don't work. I have found the best way to market my business is through the law of attraction with like minded people. If you want, I have a free e-book on my website that gives you 10 steps to Success. This e-book saved my mlm life. Check it out by clicking the link in my signature. I think it will help you.

Z Man, I know where you are coming from. Uplines tell people to work the worm market. Why? Because that is all they know.

I got educated and learned how to grow my business. I never market to my family or friends, my neighbors have no idea what I do. I also never ask anyone to join me in my business. I simply offer to give of myself freely. Now people come to me and ask to join me before they even know what I do. It is pretty neat. But it is proof that people don't join companies, they join people.

I'm a Mentor with Mentoring for Free and we offer 100% free training. No companies are mentioned, no one will prospect you, it is just free help.

I have no agenda. If you want my help, you can contact me by visiting my profile and calling me or you can just visit my site in my signature file.

Thanks for the offer....I know what you mean...."Friends and family" can be the worst. lol

The particular one I offer (focusing on for the moment) is FREE....I tell them "You can afford FREE" right?

Them: "Eh....scheme"

I was attempting to do this with someone who runs a charity and they made a remark that it sounded "Self-serving"

They make us sound like pond scum. lol

I used to be involved in MLM (offline), promoting nutritional products. The product was very effective but trying to get friends and family to sign up was something i always tried to avoid.

Wendy is correct in saying to work with like minded people, sometimes friends and family can be very closed minded to new ideas or oppertunities and are best left alone.

This is because people join people, not companies. Throw away your agenda and you will become more attractive.

I never ask anyone to join me.

I am with you Wendy I never invite my friends and family to join my business either now I will have them as customer but never as a partner in business. I was listening to a video that points out once you know your 'why' you will figure out 'HOW' this is so true. This same person pointed out to me 'The 5% Formula' which is what this business is all about.

If you are truly serious about your business you will do what it takes to build the business your have always dreamed of having. thanks

Interesting...I'd figured family and friends would be the first step in the series of stepping stones. Wonder why that is?
