Default How do you develop your web pages?

For those of you who do their own web pages, do you use a program? And if so, what program do you use?

I learned how to do my web pages by hand, so I generally do most of mine by hand (well, except for some of the stuff I've done in the last few weeks). I've toyed around with a couple of the "free" WYSIWYG editors and have been unimpressed. I know Linux has Bluefish, a code editor, but it isn't WYSIWIG and isn't available for Windows.

Still, even when I'm working on things for one of my blogs or my squidoo pages, I take a look at the code when things don't seem to be looking the way I think they should.

Try dreamweaver. Frontpage used to be pretty good, but I don't think they have updated it in a while.

I use Tripod.com ... it's easy to learn. They offer a free service and then packages go up according to what they offer. It starts out at $8.95 per month and you get your own website domain name.

I really like it!!!

I use it for 4yourfamily.org and then have sub-sites from it ... 4yourfamily.org/teamwork & 4yourfamily.org/jdpremium and adding a new site now.

ALL for $8.95 per month

I just learned about a company, SynthaSite, that offers totally free web site buiilding and free hosting with absolutely NO ads! They have gotten great reviews and have lots of templates. No HTML experience. Not having to display advertisements is a major plus!
