Default What is your reason?

All of us got into working from home for one reason or another, besides just to make money. What's your reason?

My biggest reason is to be able to spend more time with my family and be able to do things with them, but besides that, the other big thing I wanted was time to work on my writing. I have a book that I wrote during an event called NaNoWriMo that I need to finish editing. Actually, I have two that need working on Also, by having a second income stream, when it comes time to do NaNoWriMo again (in November), I'm hoping I could take a little extra time off to work on completing the goal for the event.

Another reason I would like to have the extra money from this business it to be able to afford some programs and tools to learn computer graphics, particularly 3D graphics. I became fascinated with this a few years ago and just seem to lack the time and resources to be able to get really good at this. Though what I have been able to do can wow the lay person, I'd eventually like to be able to wow people who know what they are doing in this field.

Just some of my reasons why. Can't wait to hear some of yours!

I can't stand being stuck somewhere for 8 hours at a time! I hope things turn around for you soon, Tracy.
Best of luck in you efforts to master computer graphics, gradyp.

I became pregnant and realised i would want to bring my baby up myself and since i worked with babies i couldn't see myself bringing up other peoples children but not my own. That was what got me to start working on the internet.
Our only hope now is that my partner can work from home with me as well as he works long hours and wants to see our daughter and myself more.

I have a full-time job that's not rewarding, fun, or allow me to do my own thing as I improve my financial status. I am searching for that online.

I can't stand the idea of going everyday to work a job I hate. I do custom kids songs, and while it's not the ideal situation musically (it can be painful at times), at least I'm creating music and gives me enough time to work on my 'serious' music.

I so want to fire my boss!!! I even have a great job but that just what it is a JOB and I hate the fact that I have to leave my family for the biggest part of the day and work for someone else who decides what I'm worth.
