The Olympics started last week, and I was just curious if anyone else was watching?

I have to work most nights, so I often don't get to watch some of the marquis events, but I do watch some of what I can. I'm trying to follow what I can by checking up on them, but that's not quite the same as watching it when they are on.

My favorite events seem to be the women's gymnastics, swimming,and track, but I'm also following the basketball games somewhat.

One reason I always like to watch the Olympics when I can is all of the stories surrounding the participants. Hearing the trials of how they got there, the struggles that they overcome, even the moments of victory in spite of pain. I watch the Olympics to become inspired and encouraged. For some reason, I never seem to fail to be inspired at some point.

I watched some of the Olympics, Great Britain did quite well for a change so that was good. A Scottish guy did really well with cycling so made me a proud scotswoman hehe

Hi all. Did anyone see the part where the cuban guy kicked the REF in the face in a taekwondo event? he took to many time out injuries and was disqualified by ref....talk about anger management. Thank god he is banned!

I didn't see that, but I did hear about it. I hadn't heard that he got banned, but it's not surprising.
