Yes, Arlene. I got the same thing. Fortunately, when I clicked on the link, my browser immediately informed me that the link was not a valid site. So, I did not go any further.
I have also been receiving some emails about my Bank of America credit card. Now, I knew something was strange. The email had Bank of Americas logo and everything looked legit. The only problem was that it said that someone tried to access my account a number of times online. I don't ever go into my bank of america account online. In fact, I don't bank with bank of america. The date was also wrong. It said that I needed to contact before January of 2008. Well, this told me that things were definitely strange.
I called Bank of America and let them know. They told me to forward them the link and they would investigate. I did.
There are a lot of scam online. You have to be really careful. I am really overly cautious. Be careful. If a site is asking for personal information, this should send a red flag to you. Don't do it.
