True, we can't control everything that goes on in our life, but do we really want to? If we did, we would have very little time for some of the more enjoyable experiences in life because we are too busy trying to control everything in it.

I try to control what I can and what I feel is the most important, but at some point, if I want a life and some time out to enjoy life, I am going to have to find others, whom I trust, to delegate some responsibility to. In a way, we still have some control by delegating responsibility to others because we get to choose who we delegate to.

I believe that delegating work and/or responsibility is important because you need some time out to regroup, to replenish your energies. I have heard a number of millionaires say that as your business grows, you need time to take out to have some fun, to enjoy your wealth.

One of the reasons I want to leave the J.O.B is because I want more freedom to do the things I want to do. Thereby, giving me more control over my life and giving me more time to have some fun in my life.

Seashell, where do you get your leads from? I assume that they are people you have connected with in some previous business transaction and have maintained their information. Similar to how an autoresponder is used. You acquire the information of people who have visited your website and then continue sending them letters at various times. This works because people don't pay attention to until after numerous follow-ups.

Yes - Exactly.
I use Send Out Cards to send out Thank You cards for jobs that I recently completed.
Also I send a card during the holidays and one around the 4th of July.

It keeps my name on peoples mind and my leads from referrals have increased as a result. When possible I put a photo of the customer’s house on the front of the card. I am also able to print my business card on the inside of the card.

People are intrigues and as a result, I have gotten inquiries from customers and have signed a few up that way. I like doing it this way, because im not throwing it in peoples face but many are smart enough to figure it out for themselves.

I have sent cards out and I they are useful; especially the thank you cards. They do work. The problem is finding the people to send the cards to. Most of the people I am currently connecting with are on the internet. This does not make it easy to send them cards.

I have heard of this method of marketing prior, but have not done it myself. Some examples of post cards I've seen for cash gifting looked absolutely awesome!

The copy-writing skills and images on several I've looked at just STOOD OUT in a professional manner. I could see high conversion rates for post cards that were taken time to construct and detail. Mixed in with the census and comparing different areas of a city I would imagine it would be a very successful campaign.

Some of the advice I remember for sending out post cards is it's best to have a phone number as well as an email address and website to look at.

I had to stop due to lack of time. I have a whole bunch of postcards sitting in my office that I intend to mail off, but I have been unable to find the time to do so. So needless to say, it has not been going well. Sorry, I wish I could tell you more.

Building a business part-time leaves very little time to do much during the course of a day. I usually only have 2 hours or a little more to work on my business.

I wonder if post cards would work for me...I think I will try it. Although my brother keeps telling me: NO more printing! (I have lots of brochures and do lots of mailings) He says I must Talk to people in person.

Does anyone buy leads...I am too nervous to try it. I have heard so much about poor leads and I think I might be thinking like a desperate person? I really want to succeed and need to work at night...hard to talk to real people then. Anyone found a good source...or is it futile?
