I assume you are looking to get your site listed in search engines, and if this is the question, there are hundreds if not thousands of search engines, but as to being low cost, I again assume you are referring to the PPC costs, like with Adwords Google promotes. This can be expensive, but it is all about results, so you have to do some research on your competition to see where they are promoting, and then start there.
There are hundreds of junk submission deals on the internet, and almost all are worthless. I learned long ago, the only search engines worth being on are the top five, forget all the rest, concentrate on the top search engines, and as to PPC, it is near worthless now to pay for these listings as there are too many which drives up cost. When PayPerClick was first introduced, it was effective, but how quickly things change in the world of the internet.
Ask yourself, when was the last time you clicked on an Adwords PPC ad when searching for anything? Yes, I use to a few years ago, but it was because I was researching what others were doing, not because I wanted to purchase whatever they were selling. I go with only natural search listing, and usually only look at the first top ten, and I am sure most people on the internet now do the same thing. Why? Because natural search is going to produce the best results, and for obvious reasons. Number one, natural search results take a ton of time to reach the top given whatever search terms you are using, so wouldn't it make sense to go with the best companies rather than taking a stab at all the me too newbie PPC sites? The only companies using PPC these days are mostly the hit and run businesses. Why else would Google revenues be off hundreds of millions last quarter, people are figuring this out. lol Save your money, PPC is a waste of money for most.
Success to all,
