along with squidoo, use 4 more social media sites (wordpress,livejournal, blogger, weebly). these sites will be your spokes.

write a post to each site. as you progress from each site have it link to the next spoke in the wheel. so each spoke is pointing to the next one in addition to the main site.

That's a money wheel! They aren't as effective as they once were but they still carry some weight.

Anyone still get good results with Squidoo?

I sell an item for my hobby (amateur radio) and I use the lens to advertise the product as well s to provide a good backlink to my web site. Plus you get others on Squidoo to come visit your site so this drives traffic to your site that is more or less targeted to the audience you are interested in. In my case, amateur radio (ham radio) visitors will see my lens through my lens or a connecting lens and it will raise their curiosity enough to tempt them to come to my site. Make sure you provide links to your site as well as keywords and pictures of your products.
