I think you could have used some obscene words like s**, f***, p*** and even "poker" is also one of the restricted words in google Page Ranking calculation. My Page Ranking was brought down because of use of the keyword s**. So be careful in content management of your site.

Yes, social bookmarking sites like technorati, myspace, youtube and etc counts.

Take note that Pagerank don't get updated every week.. I noticed my pagerank get updated like about 3 mths.

as allenpmorgan said use social bookmarking sites and trying to submit your site on directories, more submissions mean more backlinks and backlinks mean high page ranks and high page ranks means lots of visitors. best of luck

I definately have no banned words on my blog so I don't think that could be the cause. I have submitted the site to some directories but found it very dull and was not sure if it was worthwhile - perhaps I should do more of that. I have been doing some posts on dofollow blogs lately so hopefully that will help.

Take note that most social bookmarking sites are now nofollow - thus no link juice are passed on to your sites

that depends on which social bookmarking sites you are using, and which area/section of social bookmarks.

be creative, there are endless backlinks opportunities.

One way to check is to view source of the different pages of different sb sites. Dont just rely on hear-say and ebooks.

easy!, many links with your site.... but many people get a myth on high Page rank = high search engine ranking that's often NOT the case.....
