I tried day trading a while ago and lost a lot of money on it. I believe it was more than $10,000 that I lost on it.
Is there anybody here who made some money day trading??
I believe that you are most likely than not to loose money doing day trading.

You can make money daytrading, I want to say: A lot of money but daytrading is almost a science, you need a lot of study and several years of experience, just then you will make your life from the trade.
I have 2 years trading stocks and options and in my first 9 months I lost almost $5K but after that I have been correcting my trading techniques and today I am $1K possitive.
Looks very easy but BE CAREFULLY!!! YOU CAN LOSE "YOUR LIFE" doing day trade. ;-)

I haven't done it myself but I work out everyday and there is a guy at the gym that makes a living in the foreign exchange market. He has showed me a few tricks. He makes most of his money just reading charts. He did say trading money is much easier than trading stocks.

Hello Day Traders. I have read a few of your posts and just want to tell you my husband does make money day trading. Of course he has been trading now for close to 30 years, with a lot of sacrifice in money over those years. He is has been setting up the last 2 months a futuresandforextrading.com site to use his experience to help others. One can receive help and instruction just by looking at the site and then trade seeing his intra day trades on the site and most likely you should have an account with Trade Station or someother for $5000.00 to even consider looking into it. Yeah i agree with you, you have to study the market ups & downs. I think i can give you a simple tip like in any case first of all you have to study the market & than when the price of that particular share is decreasing than it is right time to buy the shares, if price of that particular share is incensed than at that particular time to sell.

Maybe this thread is dead but i just wanted to say that i have made money from day trading online. I started out with no experience only Online Trading Software. I know, I know, "real traders go on their gut instinct" you might say. Maybe i am not a true trader but all i know is that i make a lot of money from it. It was difficult to beleive that a peice of software was determining where i was going to put my money so i started off small. Im talking about $50-$100 to start. Once I saw that i was making money consistantly, I started to invest more and more.

By the way it sounds, I think i am just going to stay away from it.

If you study the basics and get used to the terms used and charts etc. Online stock trading isnt that risky. I dont invest large amounts of money at a time but instead choose a company to invest in every week and sell the stock a few days later for profits typically between 5-40%. If you have no idea about Online stock trading then you are definately better off to learn the basics before parting with your money.
