Kothar, in all too many cases the teachers become reverse images of their students. I am an experienced teacher and tutor myself, and it is common to hear my colleagues say that, if they were to give the exams today that they gave 10 years ago, they would fail all their students. The reading skills are poor (thank TV for that), the students are either fixated on games or bent on getting by with as little work possible. Not to mention the risks urban teachers face from beatings, knives, and even guns. Given the lack of support of many administrators, it is a wonder that more teachers don't burn out.
Yes, there are bad teachers. But your blanket condemnation is unwarranted and way off the mark.
