Default Tutors these days are not safe?

I have heard a news on radio, that a tutor taking classes in a near by locality has mis behaved with a girl who comes to take tuition from him and now the girl is too horrified even to go to the school.

The Tutor abusing students incidents are not something new. I think this issue has been around for a while now. The tutors feel they are invincible or completely protected within the walls of their classrooms or home. This prompts them to be aggressive and at times show pervert habits.

Unhappy

Being a girl I'm also depressed by the activities of both the students and the teachers...
Really todays girls are trying to become very advance...but they don't know that without culture and tradition...modernization never comes....
and the male teachers are really becoming useless...they are forgetting the bound and relation with their student...
Its true..that..a teacher is married to their student also in earlier times..but..
it was never heard that they had abused them....

I agree with you partially, but not fully. Todays teachers are unfit for anything. They just mug up things and come here and vomit infront of us. They dont have any knowledge regarding the subject. Their behaviour is also becoming worse day by day.

Wow, the teachers I know a very good at their jobs, although I knew some in high school that were of another colour.

Kothar, in all too many cases the teachers become reverse images of their students. I am an experienced teacher and tutor myself, and it is common to hear my colleagues say that, if they were to give the exams today that they gave 10 years ago, they would fail all their students. The reading skills are poor (thank TV for that), the students are either fixated on games or bent on getting by with as little work possible. Not to mention the risks urban teachers face from beatings, knives, and even guns. Given the lack of support of many administrators, it is a wonder that more teachers don't burn out.
Yes, there are bad teachers. But your blanket condemnation is unwarranted and way off the mark.

Of course I agree with you. Many educational institutions now are giving training sessions on sexual harrassment, how to avoid giving student cause to feel harrassed, etc. But let it also be said that sometimes teachers and tutors get solicited by students looking for better grades or even as a sexual power play. This in no way exonerates the educator of responsibility for inappropriate behavior, but it is a trap that few people outside the teachers lounge talk about.
