I've been a guide now for about 6 months... and I think it's a really good way to make some cash and its fun too... basically what you do after you are excepted is: you sign on whenever you want, you can work as much or as little as you want, when someone sends in a text question a little window pops up and the first guide to click on 'ok' gets to answer the question.... you can also select the categories of the type of questions you would like to answer (sports, news, etc..)... I admit that when I first started the questions were slow coming in at times... But now with all the press ChaCha has been getting, the texts come in as fast as you can answer them especially in the afternoon and late at night... I think most of the bad things you hear are from people who are mad cause they got suspended for some reason... As long as you do your best to answer the questions accurately and don't be rude to people, you won't have any problems... Well I hope I have answered some of you questions... If you want to know anything else just ask..

Jeff

+2 points for coming back like that. Not that the points do much, but I respect that you did and not just toss up a post for marketing reasons.

Is there any cost to a person signing up?
Is there any kind of 'upgrade' to pay to make more money?
What kind of realistic income potential can a person interested in doing this make?

Hey Pendelton...

No there Isn't any cost to sign up and there are no upgrades to make more money... you get 20 cents for every question you answer.... and like I said with all the recent press coverage on just about all of the news networks the questions come as fast as you can answer them... by the way you find the answers by searching the web using special links provided to you by ChaCha... As far as earning potential it depends on how much time you spend answering questions and how fast you answer them... lets say you average 3 minutes per question, then that would be $4.00 an hour, or $112.00 a week if you spend 4 hours a day doing it... you can make more or less, just depends on how much time you want to spend doing it... your not gonna get rich but its a good way to put some extra cash in your pocket...

Thanks for you interest... Jeff

So, a person could do this and a little freelance writing, and actually do okay on making some money.

Now, for the kickers.

What do you get out of the program if someone signs up under you?
Is there a multi level referral system?

Not multi-level... two level maybe... after you are fully trained and become a master guide you can refer up to 10 people and you get 10% of what they make... 10 is the max however and you don't get anything from the people that they refer... so basically if the people you refer make the same amount as you you can double your earnings.... not bad for a few hours a day...

Brad Bostic is the President and cofounder of ChaCha. Bostic previously founded Bostech Corporation and NearMed. Scott A. Jones is the CEO, cofounder, and Chairman of ChaCha. Jones was an inventor of voicemail technology. Morton Meyerson, Bezos Expeditions, Rod Canion and Jack Gill are major investors in ChaCha.

ChaCha is based in Carmel, IN, near Indianapolis.

You must be over 18 and, be fluent in English, have a U.S. mailing address, and legally qualified to work in the U.S... You are considered an independent contractor, and must fill out a W9 tax form prior to starting work.. ChaCha will send you a 1099 form the first of each year...

Well that's about it... hope you'll give it a try... Jeff

Jeff, thanks for taking the grilling.

ChaCha is a real business, started on 04/18/2006 in Delaware and created as a foreign corporation in Indiana on 10/12/2006. See the State of Indiana website for their listing.

If anyone is interested I'd say give it a try and contact Jeff via PM to learn more.
