Well i was looking through the local advocate in the job listings. i come across an ad that says mystery shoppers wanted, well right away im thinking what a job that would be, so i proceed to contact the ad. I get on the line with a (what i thought) a really nice person. They take all my information and sure enough 2 weeks later i get my first assignment (yay). I open up the letter and there is a folded packet of paper and a check for 2,900 dollars. On the letter the are instructions to cash the check and then go to wal-mart with the money and send 2,500 of the cash through a money gram and rate the customer service. Then 3 days later the bank contacts me saying the check was a fraud and now im up to my neck in debt

Can't they trace where the money was sent to ?

they can but it was sent to Canada and they cant trace it once its left the country

This is the new scam that appears to be going around. On some of the other work at home forums the check they got was for $5000! I hope enough people like you and the others come forward with this on all these forums so others can be aware.

I see those things in the newspaper all the time. I'm sorry that happened to you. Maybe you could try an online business or direct marketing

Oh my god, how horrible! You are really in debt from that? I can't believe they would place that as your responsibility. I wonder if there is a way to get back to them somehow.

You should never pay the companies that take westeren union because that money can not be traced and you will never get it back
